Why You Should Consider Buying an AMTEK CNC Beam Coping Machine

Structural Steel Profiles Cutting Solutions

WHY SHOULD YOU EVEN CONSIDER BUYING AN AMTEK CNC BEAM COPING MACHINE ?

Besides the fact that AMTEK had put 13 years of extensive research and engineering in creating this affordable, reliable, and best of all the best cnc beam coping machine that "YOUR" money can buy, we will also help you decide which of the following beam coping machines below is best for you. In addition to our technical advantages on our cnc beam profile coping machines, we have also made every effort possible to study the needs of every steel fabrication shops from small to large.

Below are our studies:

ALL CNC BEAM COPING MACHINES PRODUCES AN AVERAGE OF 50 PIECES ON A GOOD DAY
ALL CNC BEAM COPING MACHINES REQUIRES AN OPERATOR

HOW MUCH GRINDING DO YOU HAVE TO DO WHEN THE MACHINE FINISHES?

According to the chart above, it looks like the Python beam coping machine is the most expensive machine and the AMTEK beam coping machine is the cheapest. So what happens to Peddinghaus, Ficep, Voortman, Kaltenbach, Vernet Berringer, and Daito beam coping machine? YES, they are very big name manufacturers, but they have not put enough thoughts and engineering into beam coping machine to know why their machines are not very popular in the coping world. Many medium and large steel fabricators who have plenty of money to spend do buy those brand name machines. Do they work? YES. But how long does it take to recover the costs and start making the profits? We have done extensive studies on these middle machines from about 200 fabricators from a small shops to very large shops and found very similar stories. On a good day, the machine will be able to produce about 50 pieces with copes on both ends on various beam sizes. Therefore, regardless if the machine is automatic or semi-automatic or if the machine has length measuring or no length measuring, or if the machine is utilizing a plasma or an oxy-fuel torch, the ultimate concern of every fabricator is how many pieces can a cnc beam coping machine produce at the end of the day - or better yet, if the cnc beam coping machine can keep up with the drill line. As a result, the costs of those machines in the middle are not justifiable. Hence we have the following contenders left, the Python Robotic Coper, the Ocean Liberator CNC beam coping machine, and the AMTEK CNC beam coping machine.

Why is the Python so expensive yet is still on the list? Because the Python is both a beam coping machine and a drilling machine. This machine is very useful for small shops because they only need 1 machine to fabricate instead of many. Supposely, all the bolt holes and slots from 3/4" diameter and up with thickness of less than 1" are qualified by AISC as bolt holes without having to drill. Not only that, but buying the Python will also reduce the amount of conveyors and also increase shop space for other tasks. Those are the advantages of a Python built by Burlington Automation. But the disadvantages are also your worst nightmares. If you are depending on 1 machine and that machine goes down? The cost for repair is also outrageous when the machine is out of warranty. But more importantly, the disadvantages are not that, but rather - the Python is NOT a TRUE coping machine NOR is it a TRUE drilling machine. This fact is very easy to find out. All you have to do is ask Burlington Automation to give you the nearest customer that they have to your location and call them and ask them the following questions:

  • How much grinding do you to have to do on moment connections?
  • Can this machine do a slotted moment connection?
  • How much misalignment does this machine produce on a straight cut on various materials EXCEPT for flat bar and thin channels?many pieces on average can this machine produce per day?
  • How would you make drilled holes with materials greater than 1"?
  • What if you have 9/16" holes to make?
  • Are the holes round? Are they beveled? (if holes are cut at a bevel, your bolts can not go through straight, but also at a slight angle).

According to the questions above, is it a TRUE coping machine? Or is it a TRUE drilling machine? However, if you accept those criterias on top, this machine is for you.

The Ocean Liberator, however, is the closest choice to an AMTEK beam coping machine. It is a semi-automatic machine. It can also download DSTV WITH LIMITATIONS. It is very affordable to many small to medium steel fabrication shops. So what's wrong with them? Software is not user friendly. This machine is a copy of the original AMTEK beam coping machine. The creator of this machine DOES NOT have enough experience with single torch beam coping machine to detect and solve all the problems that are out there in the coping world. Therefore, why would you buy a lesser machine for 2 times the money?????

Why buy an AMTEK cnc beam coping machine? Because we are the only company in the United States that sells the most cnc beam coping machines per year. We have over 200 customers in the United States and many world wide including Zamil Steel. Due to the versatility of our machines, we have cater most if not all aspects of steel fabrication industry. We provide fast technical support. After warranty maintenance are very inexpensive. We have to say that most of the time, the travel expenses are more expensive than our repair costs. Now that we have online diagnostics with a webcam, we seldomly send any of our technicians out to the field. Usually we can fix the machine within 30 minutes. Our machines also have extended warranties for your peace of mind. It doesn't matter how old the machine is, you only pay $5,000.00 per year to have your machine maintained; that includes parts replacements and labor. All that is important, but not as important as - OUR MACHINE CAN ALSO PRODUCE 50 BEAMS A DAY WITH VARIOUS SIZES WITH COPES ON BOTH ENDS ON A GOOD DAY - AT A FRACTION OF THE COSTS OF ANY BEAM COPING MACHINES IN THE WORLD.

Happy shopping, we wish you the best of lucks in choosing a machine that suits your needs. We hope to have an opportunity to work with you in the near future.

Best regards,
